Alta Video — 1855: golang.org/x/crypto/ssh file transfer protocols vulnerable to denial of service

Overview

A vulnerability was discovered in the golang.org/x/crypto/ssh Golang package, where a denial of service attack from clients which complete the key exchange slowly, or not at all, could cause pending content to be read into memory, but never transmitted for file transfer protocols.

  • All Stable upgrade Channel versions before 7.6.5.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 7.6.0.

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 7.6.5.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 7.6.0.

• Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras:

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 7.6.5.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 7.6.0.

• Alta Video Cloud: all versions.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Alta Video Beta upgrade channel version 7.6.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 7.6.5.

It is highly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface.

This issue has been fixed in Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras Beta upgrade channel version 7.6.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 7.6.5.

It is highly recommended that all Avigilon Cloud-Native camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface for Avigilon Cloud-Native cameras and the Avigilon Cloud-Native Camera Interface for unmanaged cameras.
